It's been a while since Kate's had to travel cross-country with nothing but her wits and half a vein of blood. It's not an experience she ever cared to repeat, but life seems to be a fuck recently.
She'd woken precisely two hours and eighteen minutes after Aleks and Liam left with her identity, dazed and confused and more then a little betrayed (a feeling she fought to erase immediately, she already knew trusting people was a bad idea), blinking sleepily at an empty hotel room. Ten minutes later she already had a plan, albeit a shaky one, though not the energy to act on it.
Sneaking across borders without any ID was certainly harder in this century then it was when she was alive. But it's not impossible, especially when breathing is an optional activity, meaning it's only about a month before Kate takes her first steps back into London and
immediately makes a beeline for her old villa, looking like a trainwreck and ignoring the slow burn in the back of her thoughts. Answers come first, and if they're anything close to acceptible she might start mending bridges. She can worry about her fix of blood later.
